This is our Holy Family Garden Statue which Pearl is hugging. After my grandmother passed away this Spring, several items have been handed down to me including aprons, plates and this statue. I'm excited to put it in our garden once we move.
Pearl at first was a little scared of the statue, but warmed up to it pretty fast. She now goes up to it and touches the open outstretched hands of St. Joseph, Mary's face, and the child Jesus.
She looks up at at me and points, "Marybaby?"
"Yes, little one, that is Mary with the baby Jesus," I say.
She then leans in and wraps her arms around the statue and smiles.
