So this morning I am in anticipation for my afternoon meeting with a local priest. He and I will be discussing possible spiritual direction. When we spoke on the phone, I mentioned that I have been looking for one since I moved to this area. (I have had a director since age 16, and miss that one on one time, the challenges and support) I said that I need a director who is not afraid to kick my butt.
This priest then proceeded to lecture me that "it wasn't all about me." That the priest and the person pray and walk together, so there is discernment on both parts.
So he is already challenging me:)
I pray that this afternoon the Lord quiets our hearts and speaks in this discernment.
