Fitting

It does amaze me at times how Our Lord works at times. This evening, my DH and I partook in the Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite offered at a nearby parish. I still get thrown off with the different readings though. So I was a bit surprised that the Gospel was of the deaf man that Jesus healed. (In the 1962 missal, the 11th Sunday after Pentecost.)

So with recent reflections about transformations, I was struck by the words, "Ephpheta, that is, Be thou opened..."

Appropriate in light of recent prayers.
