The Book of Esther

This weekend, we watched One Night With the King on the recommendation of a friend.

Some big names made appearances in the film, such as: Omar Sharif, Peter O'Toole, and John Rys-Davies.

To be honest, DH and I were rather let down after the recommendation we got for this film. Supposedly chronically the story of the biblical Esther, this film was very Hollywood, and not very accurate.

Several items were switched around in the film (time-line wise), and a lot was added in that is not recorded in the book of Esther.

In case you want to see this movie, just be aware that it is not very accurate. Very pleasing to the eye with effects and colors. I thought the cinematography was excellent, and it's always nice to see some older recognizable actors. Just disappointed with the inaccuracies.
