This Week at a Glance

1) Monday: Happy Cinco de Mayo!

In that spirit, I will be having a Tex-Mex type of lunch. Gotta get my salsa in before heading home to make a simple meal for DH who has been having food intolerances recently. Holy Hour to follow dinnertime.

2) Tuesday: Baptism Class

DH and I along with our friend, Josh (Godfather), will be attending the Baptism Class at our Parish. Excited to mark this down and accomplished. We wanted to attend early and select our baptism date. Josh will be starting at the Seminary this Fall, so we're trying to work around his schedule and my SIL's schedule as a teacher. If all else fails, though, we know we can have a proxy.

3) Wednesday: Doctor's Appt. and Glucose Tolerance Test

Regular May appt., but followed up with the GTT. As someone who is not a sugar person, I'm not looking forward to that icky drink. Hopefully all goes well.

4) Thursday: Wrap-Up work day

We have a large convention for the Diocese this weekend, so thursday is our "Friday." We will be quite busy with final details and chores to muddle through. We also have interviews scheduled that day for my position that will be made available later this summer.

5) Friday: Day-Off

The convention starts on Friday, but I am scheduled to work out there on Saturday. Friday will be a day off for me, so I have to start planning my errands and relax time.

6) Saturday: Convention

Long day at the convention center, but prayers that all goes well and it is an exciting event!

7) Sunday: Pentecost/Mother's Day

Mass with the husby and then favorite breakfast at home.

If the blogging is light to non-existent, the above would be why. Hope that time is allowed though at least to check in on other's blogs:)

Good morning! On the Glucose Tolerance test...if you are concerned about the "icky drink" you can ask your doctor to allow you to substitute 16 (I think...it could be 18) Brach's jelly beans. I had a lot of problems with drinking the sweet stuff...the jelly bean substitution has been around for nearly 10 years. Your doctor will be familiar with it.

The drink isn't that horrible...it's just that some of us have problems with drinking really sweet stuff very early in the morning...for some reason eating the jelly beans didn't affect me in the same way! Blessings during your busy week!
