The Flight into Egypt by George Hitchcock
This painting graces the kitchen nook in our home. I purchased it several years ago and it has traveled with me over the years through college, volunteer service, and into our married life. The light in the painting makes me think how hot that journey probably was, how uncomfortable traveling through a desert. Yet, they kept going--following the call of the Lord.
So too, do we, through life's discomforts...knowing that His plan is better than anything we can think of ourselves.
