Silent Retreat

The retreat was really wonderful this past weekend, just what I needed. We had Eucharistic Adoration the whole retreat and signed up for various hours. There were talks by the Sisters, Mass, confessions, spiritual direction, recreation time, beautiful nature paths to explore. We were blessed with three Sisters of Life and several priests who assisted on the retreat. About 50 women participated, mostly single but a few married women.



In my time with the Lord, I was able to really face some issues I've been wrestling about. Just fears regarding the vocation of Motherhood: basically the immense and beautiful task of being a caretaker of this precious soul and worries of doing the same things my parents did for us growing up, which instilled Faith...but without roots or foundation. I didn't really come into the Faith as my own until formed by my best friend's parents and away at college.

The Lord confirmed quite a bit and reassured me that His grace IS enough.
