This past Sunday, a dear friend threw us a "baby prayer shower." This was the third shower that was held for us and it was truly humbling to see so many friends love us and love this little one soon to be here. The ladies that attended are friends that have walked our journey with us in prayer as we hoped and prayed for a child and surrendered that desire to the Lord. They encouraged me so much and prayed for this little one before her conception.
We played a few games and opened gifts, but then afterwards we spend time in prayer. We prayed midday prayer together from the Liturgy of Hours, had some praise and worship time, sang the Litany of Saints, and had open prayer time. The ladies also made us a prayer bouquet of the prayers they would be saying for our family. I also asked them to write down a prayer intention that we could pray for during labor.
I didn't have words to thank them all for their prayers for us, just tears.
