The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Monday, January 12th, 2009

Outside my window... dark and cool with a chance of rain later today.

I am thinking...that it's frustrating I can't get my email on this computer but can on DH's. Weird.

I am thankful for...family time last night--dinner together, watching our team make it to next week's game, Pearl's bath time, grown up talk time after she's in bed.

From the kitchen...
Monday: Baked chicken, broccoli, potatoes (white for DH, sweet for me)
Tuesday: Beef Vegetable Soup in the Slow Cooker with cornbread
Wednesday: Slow Cooker Mac 'n' Cheese, salad, peas
Thursday: Leftover for me (DH at Men's Group)
Friday: Pasta Alfredo, broccoli, salad

I am wearing...still in PJ's; Pearl wanted to be up and play (I'm not there yet).

I am creating...piles of books as I re-organize our library.

I am going...to visit with a dear friend this afternoon and chat about homeschooling.

I am reading...The Heart of Motherhood by Donna-Marie Cooper O'Boyle

I am hoping...to get to the post office this week to mail a Baptism present for DH's goddaughter (late) and mail Pearl's godfather's Christmas present and Birthday card.

I am hearing...Pearl chattering on the floor as she plays with her toys

Around the house...are dust bunnies who will be getting swept up in my "home blessing hour."

One of my favorite things...De-caf coffee

A few plans for the rest of the week: Some errands, but mostly at home. Trying to set up my desk, finish re-organizing the library, stay up on chores, prepare for my mama to visit this weekend, doctor for shots and a yeast follow-up for Pearl.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Pearl likes to chew on her big toe...among other things.
