To Live the Liturgy...love/hate relationship with

In Conversation with God: Meditations for Each Day of the Year (7 Volume Set)

Beautiful reflections that are just a little too close for comfort.  Why is it everyday seems to hit the nail on the head with what I'm struggling with?   :)

To be Fit and Happy... Meals=portion control. Exercise=elliptical training 3 x week, Ab attack 2x a week, Strength training 2x a week.  My energy levels are feeling so much better due to the exercise and cutting caffeine and sugar from my diet!

I am thankful for...attending a friends wedding over the weekend.  It was lovely!!  We were also blessed to have so many friends attend that have recently move from our area, so it was great to catch up and let the kids dance the afternoon away.

I am creating ...ordinary time back in our home.  Christmas decorations get put away this week.  Pearl is so sad to see the "Jesus birthday lights" come down.

I am reading...I have a HUGE book pile at the moment. Of library books and present books. Currently in:

Raising Your Spirited Child Rev Ed: A Guide for Parents Whose Child Is More Intense, Sensitive, Perceptive, Persistent, and Energetic

and

The Temperament God Gave You: The Classic Key to Knowing Yourself, Getting Along with Others, and Growing Closer to the Lord

I am pondering... how to create some more organized spaces in our home.  Living in 1000 sq. feet is tough.  It really requires creativity to make this work.  I am a borderline minimalmist while DH comes from a family of "keepers." (because you just might need it someday)  So in order to blend these two into a peaceful living situation, we need to get better at organizing what we have, purging what we REALLY don't need and creating a system that makes us both happy.  Hmmm....

I am hoping for...a good report for my mom.  She is having her knee scoped next week to see what damage is done.  She thinks she tore something.  Yikes.  Praying for good results.

On Keeping Home...I'm starting to notice what colors I really like in our home that soothe my soul and make me happy to look at all day long.  Clean white and off white, creamy dishes, glass mason jars as vases, brown corduroy slipcovers for my couches, accents of cranberry (Winter), sage (Spring), turquoise (Summer), and pumpkin (Fall).

One of my favorite things ...using a coupon and a gift card to go out for dinner.  A fun night out while not blowing the budget. What a treat!

***

On the Screen...Dora.  Pearl is loving that I found this on Netflix instant watch.  She is starting to try and count and say some words back.  This is awesome to see since she is still slow on her language.  Assessment later this month.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Library Storytime, Church playgroup/playdate, Meal for the College Students, planning date for the church playgroup with a friend, watching NFL playoffs over the weekend, DH and I clean out the Master Closet.

A Picture Thought I'm Sharing...

This is Pearl without a nap.

This is Pearl after I told her she couldn't dance anymore if she was going to look so grumpy.
