Yes, I, too, was disappointed in some of the scenes, which left us saying, "Nope ... can't share this with the kids." Alas, it could have been a lovely movie to watch with my girls, with a few alterations.
But, I agree about the good, moral but heartbreaking choice at the end. Sniff, sniff. :-)
