The Simple Woman's Daybook--Tuesday

Outside My Window ...a cool morning but still in the 80s by noon.

***

I am listening to...silence. Just got up for Pearl's early nursing and then put her back down. Hopefully she'll sleep for a little while longer.

***

To Live the Liturgy...I'm starting to think about Advent approaching. I need to start gathering my materials and projects. I'm also pretty sure I need new Advent candles. Looking forward to the Feast of the Presentation later this week. Thinking of ideas to celebrate the Feast as well as it's Pearl's conception anniversary. Is it odd that I celebrate that?

***

To be Fit and Happy...We were hoping to hit up the park this week, but still don't think it's a good idea. We're still buckled down and trying to heal from my sinus bug and Pearl's HFMD.

***

I am thankful for...the grace to embrace each moment.

From the kitchen ...Haven't been as up to speed as I would like due to illness. Tonight is a busy night since we are helping with the Campus Ministry Meal. Later in the week we are also doing the Men's Group Meal for CCM and DH is taking some of the boys camping over the weekend. So we are doing several meals outside the home.

I am wearing...in my pj's and relishing it. I need to find my moccasins though. Floor is a bit chilly.

***

I am creating ...Christmas Lists. So far, I have finished about half of what I hope to do. A few more presents to put together and then I need to start our Christmas letter. We did a picture this year so the letter will be tucked in with that.

***

I am reading...Nothing at the moment; too many other projects.

***

I am hoping for...relief for Pearl and the teething this week. This week is showing to be extremely tough on her (and us). One molar is all the way through. This on top of the HFMD.

***

On Keeping Home ... Disinfecting surfaces and washing all Pearl's toys so she doesn't re-infect herself.

***

One of my favorite things ... A tidy home. I'm working on it today. I'm not liking the clutter accumulation.

***

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Making meals for others, getting our home back in working order after illness, help DH prepare for weekend camping trip, start to prepare for Thanksgiving travels.

***

A Picture Thought I'm Sharing:
Our cousins last year for All Saints Day

Do they remind you of anybody?
