Feast of Michaelmas

We've been busy the past few days preparing for Michaelmas, a favorite feast around these here parts.

Today we went to Mass bright and early (lovely!) and then welcomed the preschool playgroup over to our house to celebrate the Feast of the Archangels. We had coloring pages, talked about the saints, did a paint project with apples, shared an Apple Cake snack, and the kids had some indoor playtime.

Originally scheduled for a nearby park, we were predicted to have rain all day, so we moved it inside. Wouldn't you know, it didn't rain?!

Oh well, it was a lovely time having our friends over. Pearl was so happy to play and had a really great day (despite poor napping).

For dinner we did Roast Chicken and Angel Hair Pasta with vegetables. Yum!

Lots of leftover chicken for chicken salad sandwiches, chicken and cheese enchiladas, and bbq chicken sandwiches for lunches the next few days. Wahoo!
