The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside My Window ... The sun is rising with the promise of another hot day. Is it Fall yet?

***

I am listening to...traffic outside and quiet inside.

***

To Live the Liturgy...Celebrating a week of Feasts! Today the Exaltation of the Cross, tomorrow is Our Lady of Sorrows and DH's birthday, and Friday is one of DH's name saints: St. Robert Bellarmine. I'm not sure that we'll get to Mass since we're still fighting germies, but we've got plans for home.

***

To be Fit and Happy...Haven't worked out in over a week since I've gotten sick. Once recovered, we'll bring back elliptical time. Lovin it!

***

I am thankful for...Neti pots. Genius.

***

From the kitchen ... been reviewing cookbooks on loan from the library. Copying some new recipes. Also listening to DH's meal desires. Now to blend our thoughts into meals that everybody likes.

***

I am wearing...pj's.

***

I am creating ...Fall plans. How to celebrate the liturgical year, autumn traditions, family visits, etc.

***

I am reading... Cookbooks.
***

I am pondering...sources for Organic foods in our area. I really want to support local growers, but finding them can be time consuming. Just came across a new group that grows hydroponically...in water. Cool.

***

I am hoping for...recovery this week.

***

On Keeping Home... Need to go over all surfaces with disinfectant wipes:)

***

One of my favorite things ... Hot tea with honey and lemon.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:

Just staying home and getting better. I do need to exchange library books (more cookbooks) and I'd love to see a friend who is visiting from GA, but don't want to get her or her son sick. If we improve, then we'll work it in.

A Picture Thought I'm Sharing:

DH and Pearl watching the Steelers game on Sunday.
