The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY Monday, April 27, 2009

Outside my window...is a peaceful hum.

I am thinking...about what order to put my errands in and whether to do them in the morning or afternoon.

I am thankful for...getting family time this weekend.

From the kitchen...

Monday: Baked Sweet Potato bar and veggies
Tuesday: Pasta Night
Wednesday: Mexican Fiesta--Carne Asada tacos, beans and rice
Thursday: leftovers
Friday: Tuna casserole, salad, and toast

I am wearing...green tank and floral pj pants

I am creating..."Pearl boxes." Designated things that are safe for her to play with and occupy her while I'm in the kitchen. Then she can go right for her box and play with those things. Hopefully it will keep her out of high traffic areas.

I am going...to continue Pearl-proofing the house. She is climbing into everything!

I am reading...For the Children's Sake by Susan Schaeffer McCaulay. A good philosophical resource to have on hand.

I am hoping...to purchase a new coffee pot today, since I blew the other one up.

I am hearing...the baby monitor.

Around the house...are things to be put away and party decorations to come out.

One of my favorite things...Stanley Cup Playoffs. Go Pens!

A few plans for the rest of the week: library, grocery, walgreens, kohl's (to check out some kids clothes recommended by a friend), consignment shop (to look for tops for me!), baby shower on Wed. (Hurray for Bobby!), and help as needed with the Campus Ministry.

A Picture Thought I Am Sharing:

Aren't poppies so pretty?! My gram used to grow them in her garden and make homemade poppy seed rolls. So tasty.
